Lunch roundtable
Taking stock of the new green state aid regime
We are hosting a lunch roundtable on Monday 30 June from 12:30 – 14:30 CET at WeWork office in Rue du Commerce 31 to discuss the latest tweaks to the guidelines for clean industrial subsidies.
The European Commission will publish tomorrow, 25 June, the new Clean Industrial State Aid Framework. It will replace the TCTF and will define EU decarbonisation and green manufacturing subsidies for the coming years.
Our expert panel will provide a quick assessment of the new rules. We are grateful to welcome back Peter Staviczky, the longest-serving state aid attaché in Brussels to give an assessment from the perspective of the Member States. And we are excited that Lena Sandberg, Partner at Wilmer Hale, will join us to explore what the new rules mean for companies.
We will kick the tyres with our speakers on the functioning and the impact of the new rules:
- What was the main criticism of the TCTF? How much of this was taken on board by the Commission?
- What are the policy changes in CISAF? What changes on clean energy, decarbonisation and clean tech manufacturing?
- What’s the impact of the changes?
- What does this mean for corporates and for investors?
- What does it mean for the Commission’s ability to attract investments?
