Thursday 12 November 13:30-15:30 CET
Roundtable with MEP Jan-Christoph Oetjen
Description:
We would like to invite you to a roundtable discussion on Thursday, November 12 at 2:00 pm CET at the Renaissance Hotel Brussels with Jan-Christoph Oetjen MEP, who is closely involved in Renew Europe’s work on automotive policy.
After the recent breakthrough in the European Parliament on the automotive package, the focus now shifts to the political compromises that could shape the final deal. The Franco-German agreement has also created new links between the automotive package and the Industrial Accelerator Act, particularly on EU preference.
We will discuss how Parliament and and particulerly Renew Europe view the future of Europe’s automotive industry, which political deals are possible and where the negotiations could land.
We will also explore what this means for EU preference, the wider industrial policy debate and the timeline for an agreement.
